Bathroom fall safety and Freeus mPERS

Posted January 8, 2020

January is National Bath Safety Month, and according to the CDC, “approximately 80% of all bathroom injuries were caused by falls, with the highest injury rates in the oldest age groups.”

In addition, more than one out of four older people falls each year.

Water-resistant mobile PERS like Belle and Belle+ are a great way for seniors and others to get quick assistance after a fall in the bathroom or other emergency.

Subscribers can place their mPERS device next to the bathtub or near the shower for easy access, and they can quickly reach expert operators 24/7 with the press of a button if needed. Belle and Belle+ are water-resistant, but should not be submerged.

Operators can identify if users are at home and can speak with them through the built-in speaker and microphone. They can send emergency assistance or a loved one, depending on what is needed, and can stay on the line with the user until help arrives.

In addition, Belle+ is equipped with fall detection, and can automatically connect users to operators if it detects a fall.

Fast help is critical after a fall or other emergency, and Freeus mPERS are there to help your customers get quick assistance, both at home and away.
