Belle is a lightweight emergency alert pendant with a rechargeable battery that lasts up to 30 days per charge. It features built-in two-way voice communication between users and emergency care specialists with the press of a button 24/7.
Belle works at home and away, anywhere in the US where there is cellular coverage. Below are steps for using Belle.
Instructions for using Belle
#1 – Make sure Belle is fully charged.
Before making a call with Belle, plug in the charging cradle that came with the Belle device. The light at the base of the cradle will turn red when the cradle is plugged into the wall. Place Belle in the cradle with the lanyard at the top of the cradle near the charging cord and the device button down near the light at the bottom of the cradle. The device lights should turn on briefly when the device is first placed on the cradle. The red battery light will flash when Belle is charging, and it will be solid red when Belle is fully charged.
Once Belle is fully charged, remove it from the cradle. You and your contacts can receive text message and email alerts when Belle needs to be charged.
#2 – Press and hold the Belle call button.
To make a call, press and hold the Belle call button until the call light turns blue. After a short delay, you will hear tones or ringing, and then a specialist will answer the call. If the user is outside the coverage area, Belle may dial 911 directly as a backup feature.
#3 – Speak with the care specialist.
When expert care specialists answer the call, they can speak with the Belle user via the built-in speaker and microphone on Belle. The care specialist can use WiFi location services to help locate Belle and can send emergency personnel or loved ones to help, depending on what is needed. The specialist can also see user-provided information, such as lockbox information, allergies and preferred hospital.
Care specialists can contact the Belle user’s loved ones during and after an emergency to keep them informed of the situation.
