AT&T 3G transitions in portions of Washington, DC and surrounding states

AT&T announced an upcoming network optimization activity in portions of Washington, DC and some surrounding states. This may affect the connectivity of 3G mPERS devices starting December 11, 2019.

A list of zip codes where IoT devices may be impacted can be accessed here. Note these lists are approximate and possible service impacts may not precisely align with zip code boundaries. AT&T Network analysis indicates only a relatively small portion of these devices may be impacted from the activity.

In anticipation of the transition, Freeus recommends either replacing 3G devices in affected zip codes with 4G LTE units, or monitoring devices after December 11 to assess the post-transition signal strength for individual devices.

Please contact support@freeus.com for assistance reviewing the signal strength of any devices in your account.
